How You’ll Experience Baja

Your journey begins with a flight into Cabo, where you’ll leave the bustle behind and head straight into Baja’s wild beauty. Settle into a peaceful retreat just outside the charming town of Todos Santos and within easy reach of the world-renowned whale sanctuary of Magdalena Bay.

Wake each morning with amazing views and begin the day connecting with yourself through yoga before setting off to explore. Hike through dramatic desert landscapes, paddle quiet waters by kayak, even catch waves on a surfboard if you like, and wander the colorful streets, galleries, and cafés of Todos Santos.

As the days unfold, you’ll find an effortless rhythm of adventure and relaxation. Spend unhurried afternoons on the beach, breathe in the salty ocean air, and share unforgettable moments with both new friends and the incredible wildlife that calls Baja home—especially the whales and sea lions.

How You’ll Feel When You Return Home

You’ll return home with more than incredible photos and unforgettable stories. You’ll carry a sense of calm, adventure, and connection that lingers long after the sand is gone from your shoes.

There’s something profoundly grounding about sharing space with nature—watching grey whales surface beside your boat, hearing sea lions call across the water, hiking through the desert, and practicing yoga under expansive Baja skies. These moments have a way of slowing life down and reminding us what really matters.

Along the way, you’ll experience the warmth of Baja’s culture, savor authentic local food, and make genuine connections with fellow travelers who share your curiosity for the world. It’s the kind of trip that stays with you—not because of a packed itinerary, but because of how it made you feel.

If you’re ready to trade routine for adventure, reconnect with nature, and experience Baja in a way few travelers do, we’d love to have you join us. Spaces are limited to keep the retreat intimate, so reserve your spot and start counting down to an unforgettable week in Baja.

Itinerary February 19-26, 2028

DAY ONE
Arrival into Los Cabos  (SJD) International Airport
Transfer to our boutique hotel (approx 90min), check-in and unwind
Early evening de-plane yoga class
Enjoy a festive welcome taco dinner and a warm welcome to Mexico

DAY TWO
Invigorating morning yoga & breakfast

Quick drive to trial head at Puntos Lobos for a 3-hour morning cliff hike along the beautiful Pacific.  Keep your eyes peeled for breaching whales, and you will also pass a large sea lion colony. We will end at the beach of San Pedro where we will enjoy a picnic lunch.  There will be time to relax, swim, explore the beach and marsh area filled with the birds of Baja and a sheltered cove surrounded by palm trees before heading back “home”. Once back at our hotel, you have a few hours to relax and enjoy the pool, while gazing out over the ocean, or be dropped off in Todos Santos for some exploration.  Early evening yoga.  Chill down evening group dinner under the stars ‘al fresco’

DAY THREE

Today we’ll head out early for the drive up to Magdalena Bay
Gray whales use the bay as a breeding ground during the winter months, and this is one of the best places in the world to encounter these gentle and inquisitive giants (and their calves)
The drive up to the bay will take approximately 3 hours, and a short boat ride, but the days on the water and the glamping along the shores make it all worthwhile.
Unwind upon arrival at the glamping camp and enjoy the site of the bay to one side and a protected estuary with mangroves, dolphins and tons of birds on the other.

Happy Hour drinks and nibbles
Dinner overlooking the sand dunes and the bay (and maybe some whales!) under the stars

DAY FOUR
Sun-salutations (literally and figuratively) on platforms on the beach
Delicious local group breakfast
Whale time with trained naturalists and biologists! Head out on the water to explore and get hands-on
Without any prompting or enticement, gray whale mothers and supportive dads regularly approach boats with their new calves
Go eye-to-eye with these amazing giants of the sea and, when close enough, reach out for an invited pat
Be aware that you’re in the splash zone – these big guys find it funny to blowhole splash the boats (haha)
Enjoy lunch back at camp and cycle through your amazing photos
This afternoon enjoy kayaking through the protected tidal estuary and, if you’re lucky, spy some fun-loving dolphins; other curious marine life and birders keep your cameras ready
Happy Hour nibbles  and sips while watching the sunset

Dinner and glamp-relaxing and bonfire

DAY FIVE

Yoga wake-up – get your flow on & breakfast
Whale time, possibly with a dolphin escort out of the estuary, as you head out into open ocean water  as you round the bend of Magdalena Island and head, weather and waves permitting, to a massive sea lion colony

The sea lions welcome committee are curious and silly; they will come out to greet you and play around the boat

Heading back to the bay and the whales, it’s a sea lion morning bookended by whale spouts
Enjoy lunch back at camp
This afternoon you can head back out on the bay because there’s no such thing as too much ‘whale time’ or hop in a kayak or SUP or relax inside or outside your tent and take in the beauty of the dunes

A local expert fisherman will give a workshop on finding scallops and local crabs and opening and cleaning fresh ocean scallops, ending with the freshest scallop snack ever

Happiest of Happy Hours
Last group dinner at Magdalena Bay

DAY SIX
Last morning yoga on the beach,  and breakfast in the bay
Time to leave the majesty of the bay behind and head back south as your new friends contemplate a swim north
Pile in for the drive back to ‘civilization’ and the Todos Santos area and enjoy lunch en route
Arrive back in the afternoon with time to swim or enjoy a massage
Early evening yoga
A dinner out in the town of Todos Santos
Tonight welcomes you back to the laid-back Baja Buzz.  Stroll past art galleries and colorful streets

DAY SEVEN
A late and lazy morning yoga followed by a delicious breakfast
Today you can hit the waves on a surfboard, hit the beach for a swim or relax, or head into Todos Santos for some souvenir shopping or chill time
Enjoy time in town, head over to the beach for a last day of sun and sand
Enjoy a light lunch in town on your own
Come back ‘home’ and apron up so you can chop, dice and cook your way through a final Mexican feast (and take home a few cooking hints)

DAY EIGHT
A last beautiful Mexican-style breakfast and time to pack up
There will be one group transfer from the Todos area to Cabo
Transfer to the Cabo (SJD) airport and take off back home with a heart full of amazing nature and new friends
