Kick-off Summer with this Solstice immersive experience of connection to ourselves, community, and nature through contemplative practices and fantastic food.

With the gift of this time away on retreat, we will center, ground, and recalibrate ourselves as we breathe in peace with longer, slower fresh mountain air breaths (2500 ft elevation) and exhale longer slower breaths releasing stress & tension. We will practice daily meditation/yoga, hike, tune into our heart’s intention and create a vision board for summer and beyond, take a eucalyptus-infused sauna, soak in the hot tub, and explore the grandeur of Yosemite National Park. 

Join us and leave behind the busyness of your daily life and responsibilities and return home renewed and refreshed.

What’s Included?

  • 3 nights accommodation (various options) and 4 days of activities
  • 9 meals (which include 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners) and beverages 

  • 1 Spa Day Pass Access  (2 if you are in the tent cabins) to the oxygenated spring water UV & H2O2 hot tub & sauna

  • AM Meditation/ Energizing Yoga,  PM wind down Meditation/ Yin Yoga – & Hiking Yoga on the trails (6 classes)

  • Create a Vision Board Workshop (Saturday)
  • Bus transportation to & from Yosemite (Sunday)

  • Guided Hiking/ Touring in Yosemite or exploring on your own (Sunday) 

  • Time to Relax or Explore On Your Own

  • Yoga mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets provided or bring your own. 
Lorraine is a masterful host, planner, and experience designer. She is able to build approachable experiences for all levels, accommodate individual needs, and create a sense of community and connection among a varied group of people. She works with excellent partners to round out retreats with activities, meals, and venues that help you ground, restore, grow and have fun. I will never forget my retreat experience with Lorraine. Friday, June 24th
3:00pm Check-In Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort
3:00 – 4:45pm Get settled into lodging and explore the 55 acres on the property or wander off, enjoy time at the spa or get a massage (book ahead). Have some Hibiscus Ice Tea in the Cafe & connect with other yogis
4:45 – 6:10pm Yoga & Opening Circle
6:25pm  Meet outside Cafe to get in line to order dinner together
6:30 – 8:00pm Dinner
8:00 – 10:00pm Unscheduled time, spa time
 
Saturday, June 25th
7:30 – 8:45am Meditation & Energizing Yoga Flow
9:00 – 9:45am Breakfast Buffet
9:45am – 12:30pm Unscheduled time to relax, take a hike on property or go down to the Merced River (3 miles away) 
12:30 – 1:00 pm Lunch buffet
1:15 – 3:15pm Create a Vision Board Workshop
3:15 – 5:30pm Unscheduled time to relax, enjoy the spa, get a massage (book ahead), take a nap
5:30 – 6:30pm Yin Yoga

8:10am Prompt Leave to walk 1/4 mile to main road to catch bus for Yosemite

9:51am Arrive at Visitors Center in Yosemite Valley
9:51am – 4:10pm Explore Yosemite & Picnic Lunch
4:10pm Meet back at the Visitor Center
4:20pm: Catch Yarts Bus back to Midpines at the Yosemite Visitor Center
5:35pm Arrive back at bus stop in Midpines & walk 1/4 of a mile back to resort
5:45 – 7:00pm Spa or Showers
6:55pm Meet outside Cafe to get in line to order dinner together
7:00 – 8:15pm Dinner
8:30 – 9:30pm Yin Yoga/ Meditation & Yoga Nidra Relaxation (Yogic Sleep)
 
Monday, June 27th
8:00 – 8:45am Breakfast Buffet
8:55am: Meet at Cafe for Hiking Yoga so we can leave at 9:00am
9:00 – 10:45am Hiking Yoga/Meditation, Closing Circle, & Goodbyes
10:45 – 11:00am Pack up & Check out of lodging. Put bags in cars.
11:00am – 12:30pm Stay and have Lunch or pack one up to take with you for the road!
12:30pm Retreat Ends, but stay on the property as long as you like
 
Wow – what fun!! We hiked, stargazed, made watercolors, ate wonderful food, and started and ended the day with Yoga! A truly memorable long weekend.

Delicious Cuisine
You will be drawn in by the mouth-watering smells of food cooking from the Restaurant Cafe. Comfort American foods are rounded out with exciting International items on the menu with 6-7 choices of entrees including meat, seafood, vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian fare. The dinner menu changes nightly with a mix of local, garden, sustainable and organic ingredients. The delicious dynamic cuisine is what guests rave about! Dietary needs accommodated.
 
All meals are included:
  • Friday dinner
  • Saturday breakfast (buffet), lunch, and dinner
  • Sunday breakfast (buffet), lunch (will pack a picnic for hiking), and dinner
  • Monday breakfast (buffet) and lunch (can be packed to go)
Alcohol and specialty drinks are available but not included. Water, coffee, herbal tea, iced tea, and hibiscus cooler readily available and included. 
 
A Typical Breakfast Buffet includes:

Scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage, hash browns, fresh fruit, homemade muesli, veggie & cheese platter, juices, tea & coffee & vegan sausage & tofu scrambled to order.

Delectable baked treats can be purchased in the cafe store

-New York Strip Steak with Roasted Leeks Cheese Butter Served with Mashed Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts
-Grilled Sword Fish with Sun Dried Tomatoes Pesto Israeli Couscous Served Jasmine, and Green Beans
-Maple Sage Roasted Pork Loin with Apples and Sauerkraut Served Brussel Sprouts
-Teriyaki Chicken Wings with Jasmine Rice
-Jackfruit Sandwich Napa Slaw Served with Mashed Potatoes
-Vegetarian Creamy Risotto, Mushroom, Leeks, Spinach, Parmesan Cheese

Health Spa

Spa Hours: 2:30-10:00pm
 
You will receive 1 day pass (for those in the main cabins) & 2 day passes (for those in the tent cabins) that includes access to a custom 12 person H2O2 UV spring-fed stainless steel hot tub, cold-rain shower, cedar hot-rock sauna, a seven jet shower and deluxe changing rooms. Large cedar sauna with hot rocks with eucalyptus water. Jump under the cold rain shower adjacent after sauna use or into the stainless steel hot tub. The hot tub is kept bacteria-free without the use of harsh chemicals. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and ultraviolet light are used to maintain the tub, as well as to support your overall wellness by delivering much-needed oxygen to your cells.
 
Optional additional services are available at the spa including:
    • Aromatic soaking baths
    • Massage therapy in Asian inspired therapy rooms 
If you pay for a massage or a private soak you get a free pass to the hot tub & sauna. Massages & private soaks can be booked up to 2 months in advance on the Yosemite Bug Health Spa webpage.
 

Note: Must be able to walk on uneven hilly terrain. Bring poles, knee brace, etc if needed. 

For anyone thinking to extend their visit to Yosemite beyond our retreat, they are requiring reservations for admittance from May 20th until September 30th.
Tickets for the park will go on sale on March 23rd on this site https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086745 or you can call  877/444-6777, best to book online.  On the bright side, maybe this will lessen crowds while we are there! Our reservation is covered with our bus pass. 
 

Registration Details – Cancellation Policy and Non-Refundable Deposits:

Please send Payment in Full (or divide into 2 equal payments with final payment paid by April 20), for your desired accommodation. Should you need to cancel it must be done by April 20 (2 months out) to receive ALL but a $50 non-refundable processing fee.  No refunds after April 20.

*If you would like to share a room, but don’t have a roommate or group in mind, I can add you to a group cabin with others wanting to share. If you know you snore, please book a single cabin unless your roommates are people you know and are aware of your snoring.
